LTA - EXPLORE Gear Box Subscription

This is the first Explore Box I have received thus far! I was delighted with several items I received and look forward to using them in the future! I am hoping the next box will be filled with different useful items that I can use on my hiking adventures! High five!

I was subscribed to the Explore Gear Box a number of years ago and loved it. After a lengthy absence, I am again getting the box and the first one didn't disappoint. Everything in it was something I could use right away...even in winter in Saskatchewan. It really is like getting a box of cookies from grandma - I look forward to it for weeks and am never disappointed. Well done Explore!

As an outdoor education teacher with a focus on canoeing gear, I have been in love with the items. I utilize them, and give any extras out as gifts for peer helpers and guest speakers. However, I have been a member for 3 years and the price creeps up and the boxes have not had anything new for over a year. Plus getting a reciept has become an arduous task for their workers. I have cancelled my subscription as a result.

Most of what was in the box I've already received in previous boxes over the past 2 years and a bit. Some of them 3 times. This was my last box in my subscription and I've decided not to renew. Anyone interested in subscribing, I'd recommend you only do it for one year.

After receiving several gear boxes over the 3 or so years I am now finding the gear to repetitive. While I love the idea of the gear box I now fear I must reconsider this and go back to just the magazine
